I am in my 8th week. Last weekend was the worst. It settle down Wednesday and I haven’t had anything since Thursday at 2am. I am scared to get my hopes up but I do feel good! I wanted to ask you another question. It’s a bit personal and I hate to ask but if I don’t I know I will worry over it. Like I said last weekend was awful. Actually Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday was pure hell! But it seemed like my menstrual cycle played a part into that? In fact as soon as I did start everything started easing off. Again I am sorry but I wanted to ask you if this happened to you? I thought maybe because I sometimes get PMS maybe the steroids were magnifying it. I know the tingling in my scalp or in my head and the mood swings were coming one after the other. It was awful. Did you experience this? And if you did,did it also go back to normal the following month after the steroids left your system?

I don't really remember that part, I'm sorry. I know that I got my period (very early) a few days after the injection. It really messed up my cycle, then the next time it was late. (and I'm always 28 days). So it messed up my cycle but I don't particularly remember it making symptoms worse; however it could have but I was such a mess I never put it together. It's hard to make sense of anything on 3 hours of sleep a day. I'm glad to hear you're feeling a little better though!! Woohoo!
(oh, and yes my next cycle then was normal--it only effected 2)

I got cortisone injection in my hand yesterday and feel anxious, panicky and heart palpitation and my hand feels no better.
My dr told me not to take any steroids, cream or otherwise because they would bring about a bad reaction. I didn't know cortisone was a steroid. Hoping this feeling goes away quickly because as the day has gone on I feel restless anxious and panicky. But have just read about an interaction between adrenal glands and cortisone and I do use an adrenal cream and progesterone cream. That's my experience and I wish I was feeling less anxious by now, but am not

I had a cortisone shot 3 days ago. 24 hours later,I had a fever and my face started swelling and turning red.Woke up yesterday, still hot and flustered. Today, I feel totally beside myself. Upset stomach, hot face, totally anxious.....not myself at all. Why are we not warned of these side effects?

I have no idea why we weren't warned. I even asked what the side effects could be and the doctor told me localized pain at the injection site and possible atrophy if too much is used. He never said anything about a systemic reaction. If he did, I would have never taken the chance. It was awful. I hope you feel better soon.

I feel same way. Depression, anxiety, insomnia and low libido after knee infection shot. Doctor didn't tell about those side effects when I asked. They want to make money, do the things, bill insurance.

"What a Lie" more like, either incompetent or poorly trained or possibly not knowledgeable. Take your pick.

Why does the Dr get off with "Wrong! and Wrong again!" Shouldn't the person we depend on as our partner in health, tell us everything, we need to know, to make a good decision?
Oh, it would cost them time and money.
The least they could do, is give us a web address, go to the next patient and come back to see if we have any questions about the proceedure and whether we want to think about it or do more research on the proceedure. And, that web address should be from patients taking the same medication. The Dr would have to be well-educated and able to give a reasonable explaination why the other patients are wrong. And, provide a resource of a study done over a good period of time, with a reasonable amount of volunteers.
Guess that is asking for the cake, icing and candles to blow out.

I called the mental help hotline my ins. has set up.
I was afraid I'd hurt myself. 23 minutes later she saved my life

I'm in the same boat. Essential oils have helped take the edge off. Will not take pills with more side affects. Lavender, peppermint, tea tree and copaiba oils. Rubbed it on neck or feet whenever I got anxious or skin crawled.
