Okay, so this is embarrassing and super hard to word to anyone in person. So, here goes it.

Around 5 days ago I had sex with a guy I recently met and, having just met (even with birth control), a condom just seemed like the best bet. The condoms he bought were slightly too big for his, uh, manhood.

After we finished, he pulled out and looked down and looked back at me very worried. "I think the condom fell off when we switched positions." We both looked around but, partially because of embarrassment, I shrugged and smiled and said "whatever. I'm on birth control." I did anything to distract him from it, which was easy because his main concern was pregnancy

Anyways, I checked my lady parts for it but couldn't find it and just assumed it was some where lost in his bed.

The next day, I started my period which wasn't exactly planned on, and started using tampons, didn't even think of it. Today, I went into the bathroom before my shower and sat down to do my normal business, pulled my tampon out, and the condom fell out with it. My shock and embarrassment was unreal! It was just sitting there!

Basically, I want to know if I should do anything/look out for anything/anything at all at this point?  It was there for 5 days and had a unsettling smell to it, as well. I just don't want to embarrass myself to a doctor if I don't have to.

Any answer would be nice.

Hi Guest,

Timing wise you aren't likely to get pregnant.

But, you are at risk of an infection, possibly Toxic Shock Syndrom from having the condom inside for 5 or so days.  If you notice ANYTHING unusual, any increased discharge, discharge of an unusual color, you have a fever, or generally just don't feel well then see your doctor.

Good luck.
