Lately I've been having several period-like symptoms, including cramping, bloating, fatigue, back pain, and mood swings. However, there has been no bleeding, only this thick clear mucus-like substance that has so far gotten up to half dollar size, and only comes out when I wipe after using the restroom. I have also noticed some ups and downs with my bowels and an extreme decrease in my appetite and I become full after eating just a few bites. I have been on the pill, but after a small scare with a large blood clot and similar symptoms during a period (in the middle of my cycle) I've been neglecting to take it, as it is a birth control that only makes me have a period every three months and I thought it could be hurting me. I considered this might be the cause of my symptoms, but I'm not really sure considering its been almost a month since I've stopped taking the pill. I am seventeen and still a virgin, so I know I can't be pregnant. I haven't been to the doctor in at least five years, and I've never had any type of exams. Does anyone have any suggestions? This has been happening for five or six days, and I'm not sure what's happening!

It could be that you are ovulating (clear or white mucus that can vary in thickness) while you are PMSing (cramps fatigue ect). The bowel problem is most likely due to the cramps in that area. A for the pill if you've be on it for a good while it will take your body time to readjust itself from the onslaught of hormones and stuff it's be forced to deal with.
