Finally, a funny comedy!
Too many movies that are in the genre of comedy seem to fail to produce any laughs (i.e. the new Stepford Wives). I laughed more during Dodgeball than I can remember laughing at any other movie recently.
Ben Stiller is awesome! He's character is over-the-top (a la Zoolander) and funny. The Vince Vaughn/Peter La Fleur character adds a nice straight man to the mix.
Tons of quoteable lines and a handful of cameos. 4 out of 4 thrusting bananas! :banana: :banana: :banana: :banana:

is it kid-friendly?Well, there's no nudity and most of the 'violence' is watching guys get hit in the family jewels with a dodgeball. The most controversial scene is the last two minutes of the movie.

The language is a little rough but ditto what PH says. no nudity or violence beyond your basic 3 stooges slapstick.

I gotta admit I was disappointed by this. It wasn't nearly as funny as I was hoping, and true to form of disappointing movies, nearly every really funny moment was covered in the preview. I don't think I laughed at all for the first 40 minutes. It's probably because everyone I know hyped it up so much and I was expecting more. I suppose it is worth the rental though, just don't expect the funniest thing ever.

I, too, loved it so much that we bought it. Watched it two nights in a row. Did you notice the Pirate at one point had an eyepatch under his eyepatch?
