well last tuesday, me and my gf had sex twice with protection and then like an hour later we decided to have sex again, but i had to stop because my gf got a burning sensation. We thought she might of of got it because i used a spermicide condom the first time and the a regular lubricated condom the second time and the third time. i took the condom off, and we went off. ik that was stupid and didn't care about std's cuz ik my gf doesn't have any. i didn't come in her or anything but a couple of times it was close i think because im not use to not using a condom. I also cleaned off with a paper towel each time, and before we went again the hour later. She also is on the NuvaRing, but she had it out the first two times and we had an a halfn hour to put in i believe( WE DID GET IT IN).(3 hour limit ik.) The third time it was in. She has been on it for six or five months now. I believe its six months. Her period is like a week from Thursday also. Im just curious on what the chances of her being pregnant are. thanks

Hi MArcus: Even though any time you don't use protection then there is a total possibility that your GF could be pregnant. But I think you might have dodged the bullet!! Do to inserting the ring back in - which stops fertilization. Now that said there is still a chance here, because just because you wiped off, doesn't mean you got all the sperm right? So you will have to wait till next week. ALSO just know that IF she is pregnant she can still get her period while she is pregnant!!! But I think you should be fine! Let me know if there's anyother questions OK? Good luck and health

Hi Marcus: That is true, I just found the below statement on Wikipedia regarding NuvaRing.
In the case of accidental expulsion, the manufacturer recommends rinsing the ring with lukewarm water before reinserting. Contraceptive efficacy is not reduced if the ring is removed or accidentally expelled and is left outside of the vagina for less than three hours. During weeks one and two of each cycle, if the ring is out of the vagina for more than three continuous hours, contraceptive efficacy may be reduced. If this occurs, the manufacturer recommends that a backup method of contraception be used until the ring has been used continuously for a subsequent seven days.
So it sounds fine!!!
