Dear Mark
Bleeding gums is one of the symptoms of pregnancy, but you don't give any pertinent dates.
I would not rely on a negative DIY test result before her period is due. Also false negatives are possible.
So, what is the likelihood that she could be pregnant?
To estimate her fertile period:
- When was her last period?
- What is her cycle length?
Ovulation occurs mid-cycle. She was possibly fertile 5 days before and a day after ovulation. Sperm can live in a woman's body for 5 days. The egg is viable for about 24 hours.
On what 'fertile' days did you have sexual activity (anything where sperm could get near her vagina)?
However, the ovulation and fertile dates are 'estimates' and ovulation is often later than usual. Indeed, theoretically ovulation could occur at almost any time.
Hope this helps
