Do you think it would be beneficial to train differently depending upon which race you are going to do, which season you are going to run in verses a generic training program aimed at beginner, intermediate and advanced? For example, should you train differently for Chicago (flat, fall marathon)...

Running camp for adults, has anyone done it

This will be my vacation this year. I signed up for an adult running camp and will be there 4 days beginning tomorrow. Supposedly, good coaches from the Midwest will be there and they're going to give us "all the running we can handle." It's on a campus, so there will be access to a pool too....

What percentage people that are running ~3:00 marathons are doing it on 60 MPW or less? How hard would it be for your average 32 year old who does lots of other cross training to pull that off? Just daydreaming a little. ;)

I bought some 2 lb. weights the other day, in thoughts of running with them. I remember back in high school that we used 1 lb. weights once and awhile, and thought maybe it could help something...am I right? Anyone else do/done this? Thanks!
