Can brain swelling be caused by steroids?

Hello, all of you. I would like to ask something. My brother got brain swelling. I am very concerned. I know he took some steroids before because he has arthritis. Is it possible that brain swelling can be caused by steroids? Thanks in advance for your replies. They will mean a lot to me.

My arms fall asleep when I'm sleeping.
