Hello, all of you. I would like to ask something. My brother got brain swelling. I am very concerned. I know he took some steroids before because he has arthritis. Is it possible that brain swelling can be caused by steroids? Thanks in advance for your replies. They will mean a lot to me.

Hello. Brain swelling or cerebral edema is a condition that is characterized as the presence of extra fluid in extracellular space. There are various factors that can cause it. As far as I know, steroids are being used to treat this condition. Some of them are Dexamethasone. Another type is Prednisone. I hope everything will be all right. Have the best of luck! Bye! Please, let me know how it went.
