Is running outside better then on a treadmill?

Answered by a doctor

I bought treadmill about 2 years ago. Have probably used it 5 times. Yesterday, I cleaned it again and turned in on. My 3 years old daughter ran longer on it then me. Maybe I am not a treadmil guy. Maybe I need to run outside. I was told that New Balance 992 is the best shoe. I just bought...

Should i increase my mileage gradually or just start right away?

I've been doing 5 and 6 mile comfortable jogs, and would like to do a 10 mile run. Should I go ahead and do a 10 mile run, or should I first increase my mileage gradually to 10?

Do shoes make that big of difference?

I'm about to find out I guess. Here's my story. I've been trying to get back into running and using gel-cumulus shoes (1 year old). I started at 2 miles and just could not run the 2 miles at a pace I felt comfortable at to bump up to 3 miles. Last night I went running with a brand new pair...

Clumsy steps... do I need to stop?

My latest question is this: When I first began my running, I would walk a while, then run a while, then slow to a walk, then run. Kinda like running w/ a nice recovery time... and the whole time out would be maybe an hour??? Ok, at this point, I have bridged the gap of my walkings- now I can...

Average Lap Workout?

Up to very recently, I was only a recreational runner. I want to start training more seriously. Unfortunately, it’s too late for me to start competing professionally, but why not participate in amateur races. That’s why I’ve decided to start exercising at a race track. I’d...
