I would suggest you work up to 10 miles, but only you know your body and how it would respond going from 6 miles to 10 miles.

Going from 5-6 miles up to a 10 mile run in one shot is a significant jump. Big jumps like that can leave you open to injury that can have you sidelined for 2-3 months..
I'd do it over a few runs.
