I'm about to find out I guess. Here's my story.

I've been trying to get back into running and using gel-cumulus shoes (1 year old). I started at 2 miles and just could not run the 2 miles at a pace I felt comfortable at to bump up to 3 miles.

Last night I went running with a brand new pair of gel-nimbus shoes. I ran the two miles with no problems and felt like I could go 4 miles.

The reason I don't know if it was the shoes or not is because I ran in the cool night, instead of the warm/hot day.

I guess I'm not really asking a question, but comment if you want.

How many miles are one the gel-cumulus shoes? They may be broken down and not providing enough support/cushion for your feet.

My guess is the climate change was what made you feel so much better. It'd be kind of difficult to notice major changes in running shoes during a 2 mile run. Unless the older pair were really broken down badly.
