I have been experiencing leg pain that I have never had before. I have high cholesterol and triglycerides and my doctor put me on statins (zocor and crestor) but I developed severe leg pain. I have been off these drugs for over two months, but my leg pain is getting worse. My symptoms include burning in my groin area and knees and a tearing feeling in the lower left side of my leg. There is also at times a tingling feeling in my right leg and cramping in my right foot. The burning in my upper groin is pretty bad this evening (10:00). The pain is worse when I sit or lay down in the bed at night, but is not bad at all when I am up on my feet. Should I make an appointment with a cardiologist or another type of doctor to see about this pain.
