I am an 18 year old girl who just started college. My first semester was great until i startes to feel sick. I went to the doctor and complained of being nausous and having a pain in my stomach. She though it was acid reflux and prescribed me a medication. That same day i also got a gardisil shot. Only four days later i developed chronic diareah and was so nausous i couldnt eat. I immediatly stopped taking the medication. My doctor then put me on a new medicine. I went back to school not feeling any better. I was still having the diareah. I also constantly felt like there was something stuck in my throat and i had to keep clearing it but nothing came out. As time passed i felt worse and worse and developed lower abdominal pain. I would go to class and worry about getting sick and make myself more sick. When i went back to my dorm room i would go to the bathroom and dry heave. I left for winter break early because i couldnt stand being sick any more. I had my upper and lower gi tract checked to see what was causing the chronic diareah. The doctor found nothing but did see i had erosion from acid reflux. I went several more weeks feeling completely misserable. I then had an ultrasound done to look at my gallbladder. The ultrasound showed a sluggish gallbladder. It emptied about 7% slower than the average persons. They also found that i had dangerously high cholesterol. I made an appointment to see a surgean to talk about getting my gallbladder out. He wanted to me to see the stomach doctor again to make sure i dont have chrons disease. He was worried that my diareah would get worse if he took out the gallbladder. He also wanted me to see a cardiologist since my symptoms of gallbladder were not very strong.
However i am worried it might be something more than just my gallbladder. I have many symptoms that do not relate to the gallbladder at all. I know people who had gallbladder problems but they seemed just fine and functioned properly. I have alot of lower abdominal pain. It feels like sharp pains that under my stmoach and move into my hips. I have a pain on both my sides underneath the rib cage, as well as on both sides right under my breast (especially the left side). I feel extremely nausous everyday and dry heave. It gets worse when i try to leave the house. I also feel lightheaded and dizzy. I noticed recently that i sweat like crazy which is very abnormal for me. I worked out regualarly before getting sick and it took alot for me to sweat. I have a terrible time sleeping.
I took the second semester off of school so i could figure out why i feel so bad. My diareah has lessened. Its usually just two or three times in the moring and im fine the rest of the day. Sometimes i feel just fine and leav emy house oand do normal things. Other days i feel like i am not in the right state of mind. Like im in a giant fog and cant think clearly. My doctors keeps asking my if i am depressed or does school make me feel stressed. I told her that i am the kind of person who gets in trouble for giggling too much, definelty not depressed. Also, i prepared myself for writing 8 page papers every night but the work load was less than i expected. I do feel now that i might have a little bit pf depression but i feel it is an effect not a cause. I just really need some answers. If anyone has anything similar to anything i wrote about it would be estremely appreciated. Below i have a list of my symptoms since this is kiknd of all over the place. Thanks again.
