Hi, guys. I am 43 years old and it seems I have high cholesterol and triglycerides in my blood. Doctor thinks that diet will not be enough and that I should try with statins like vytorin 10 40. I have never used such medications, so I will need some help. What are the side effects of this medication?

Hello to you too. Vytorin is a combination of two drugs ezetimibe and simvastatin. It lowers the blood levels of LDL cholesterol (so called “bad” cholesterol) and triglycerides. It also raises the level of HDL cholesterol (“good” cholesterol). You mustn’t eat grapefruit or drink its juice while taking this medication. Some interactions have been reported. Have you discussed thoroughly about this medication with your doctor? You should do that. I hope it will help you. Bye!
