Hello

I am a 27 year old female with a history of about ten years of 3 different SSRI medications first two for depression and the last one for anxiety. First Celexa, low dosage, I think 50mg, then Cymbalta, 50 mg, and then coming off Cymbalta I had a panic attack and got put onto Zoloft 125 mg about 2 years ago and I have been on it ever since. (This was all over a ten year span).

I started off at 125 mg of zoloft i then slowly went down to 100mg after about a year of being on 125, then about 6-8 months ago I started slowly titrating down to 75mg then 50mg then 25mg then about 1 month ago I was on 25 mg and I started to go down to 12.5 and then half of that (6mg) for about 10 days and then I stopped taking it last friday 2/17 and come sunday 2/19 I started having withdrawals "brain zaps" and I am beyond exhausted all the time,  but the brain zaps are out of control and I CANNOT deal with them, and they are always worse mid afternoon and night especially when I make fast movements  I know its almost that time of the month and thats probably why I am not dealing well. But does anyone else have any experience with this? how long did this last? I started taking St.Johns Wart, Fish Oil (Omega 3) and I am drinking over 100oz of water a day to flush my system. I do NOT want to go back on it and have to go through this again. Please help! Any experiences with Psychiatrists? Pharmacists MD's? HELP!

I have been off zoloft for 3 days now and the brain zaps are constant and out of control. They are also the worst in the afternoon and night, this is a terrifying experience for me , I just felt like you should know your not the only one.
