I have had 2 cortisone injections to my knee given three years apart.  i am post menopausal and both times I had light bleeding that lasted 5 days.  The first time I had an ultrasound and all is fine.  I am again having knee pain.  I cannot find any literature on the risks of receiving these injections for postmenopausal women who get these side-effects.  I can live with the bleeding if I know I am not jeopardizing my health.  Do you have any knowledge on this?
