i am on birth control...on the 18th of jan. i had sex & on the 19th of jan. i woke up at 2a.m.very sick...i had a stomach virus. on the 19th i forgot to take my pill so on the 20th i took the one i missed the day before & on the 21st i took the one i was suppose to take on the 20th & so on until the 23rd i took two in one day to get caught up( so i was basically a day behind for like 3 days) & then i had a period(because of all the pills i missed).at the beginning of feb. i woke up not feeling good at all & i threw up but after that i was fine,it wasnt like a stomach virus or anything(more like morning sickness) my real period was suppose to start around the 10th of feb. but it hasnt happened yet,but around that time(maybe the 8th or something) i had a pinkish discharge when i would go to the bathroom but not everytime i would go & it was only when i would wipe(sorry if tmi)...& that lasted for about three days, ive read that implantation bleeding happens around the time youre expecting your period,so im wondering if that was implantation bleeding. ive also been very very dizzy lately & thirsty. i took 2 pregnancy tests & both came back negative.could i still be pregnant? & if i stop taking my pills and i am pregnant would my period still start?

typically speaking, the purpose of the pill is to STOP your body from ovulating. it contains hormaones that "trick" your body into thinking it is "pregnant" with progesterone hormones, so that you do not produce eggs to be fertilized. that is why you only shed the blood lining on the placebo week, when you do not have those hormones. with this said, i am sure you are aware that most pills let you know that it can take a month to start ovulatiuon again, if you are trying to conceive. i just stop taking birth control. i noticed that if i ever missed a day, i inevitably spotted. this was most likely the situation in your case. stranger things have happened (to me personally). but it is highly unlikely you had an egg to be fertilized.

Do not stop your pills!

You need to take all of the pills in order to be protected.

You are most likely not pregnant if you took your pills correctly, and did not miss any days.

You are advised to use extra protection if you vomit while on the Pill as it can reduce it's effectivness.

You're probably just feeling all these symptoms because you have been quite irregular at taking your pills, you may want to visit your doctor and ask their advice.
