Please no judging / rude comments, I know I made some mistakes, and I know plan b is not birth control so I'm meeting with my doctor this week to get on bc. I just need advice from other women who have been in a similar situation as I have. I had unprotected sex Monday, took plan b Tuesday, had protected sex Thursday, and unprotected sex Sat, took plan b again not even 40 mins after the sex. He ejaculated outside of me, nowhere hear my vagina. Before this week I have taken plan b on other occassions, so my hormones are already out of wack, but the last time I had period bleeding, which was from plan b, was the 8th of Feb. So, when should I look for period bleeding to put my mind at ease, and what are my chances of pregnancy? When could I take a test if I wanted to really put my mind at ease? I've been experiencing some brown spotting/light blood spotting the past few days. Is this a side effect of plan b?

All answers/advice are truly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi Guest,

The spotting/bleeding is a common side effect of Plan B.  Taking it multiple times increases the severity and duration of the side effects.

When you period will occur is unknown.  Early or late periods, and periods that are heavier or lighter than normal, are common side effects as well.

You can take a home pregnancy test as early as two weeks after you had sex OR when your period is late.  Use your first morning urine for the best accuracy.

Good luck.
