Okay, so, two weeks ago I took the plan b pill just to be a-ok after unprotected sex. Had more unprotected sec, oh, about a week after that, it would mark my first day of what was supposed to be high fertility (but plan b likes to screw those things up) so, it's now exactly two weeks since I've taken it and my period is supposed to come Thursday, on the Thursday before, I experienced some blood in my panties. But it was very light and dark, the same thing happened the day after. Since then, I've had the usual breast tenderness before/during my period I get. Yesterday, Saturday, I wore a tampon just to be safe, there was a little blood, but not enough to fill it (it was a regular tampon I had in all day.) so like, now what? Am I okay, or what?

Hi guest,

Spotting is a common side effect of Plan B, as are late periods.  But, if you took the Plan B two weeks ago, then had sex about a week after and didn't use any protection, you could be pregnant.  Plan B does not provide long term protection.  It's intended to be used after the fact.

Your spotting may be implantation bleeding.  You can still have bleeding if you are pregnant.

Take a home pregnancy test.  Be sure to use only your first morning urine for the best accuracy.  If it is negative and you don't have a normal period, wait another week or so and retest.

Good luck.
