So, um, I’m 15 and not sexually active at all, and I got my period when I was 11, so I’ve had it for almost 3 and a half years.
Well, I got my regular period in June 6, 2020. It’s now June 21, 2020, and I have it again! The same exact flow! (Goes from light to heavy within a few hours.) I heard this happens to some people, but it had never happened to me, and never with the days so close either.
Can someone tell me why this is happening? I hate this! Will my future period be every other week like this? I’m not on anything, by the way.
Thank you! Have a great day!

Hello. It's completely understandable that you're concerned about experiencing two periods in such a short time frame.
It's not uncommon for menstrual cycles to be irregular, especially in the first few years after you start menstruating. Since you've been having periods for about three and a half years, your body is still in the phase of adjusting to the hormonal changes that regulate the menstrual cycle. These hormonal fluctuations can sometimes lead to irregular periods like you're experiencing now.
There are several factors that can contribute to irregular periods, such as stress, significant weight loss or gain, exercise, and even minor health issues. Since you mentioned that you're not sexually active and not on any medications, these common factors might be influencing your cycle.
However, it's important to note that while occasional irregularities in the menstrual cycle are normal, consistently having periods that are too frequent, like every other week, might require a medical evaluation. If this pattern continues, or if you have any other concerns about your menstrual health, it would be a good idea to talk to a OBGYN.
