My father is diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. He must take Indocin regularly. I think I heard that people who take Indocin regularly are in great risk of developing side effects. I am not very familiar with this drug and I need help with this. Can you tell me something about Indocin side effects?

Long term use of Indocin can provoke some side effects and this is happening more often then in occasionally use. Your father can expect stomach pain, ulcer, dizziness, vomiting, etc. If any of this occurs, take him to his doctor. It is important because ulcer can bring to internal bleeding, eventually. Also, tell your father never to take Indocin on empty stomach.
