Three months ago my doctor switched my birth control from ortho tri-cyclen lo to microgestin 1/20. In the second month, on the Sunday of my 4th week I accidentally took the very first pill of my next month's birth control pack. I didn't realize it till days later when I noticed my period hadnt come which was that Wednesday. I did get my period the next day, Thursday. Basically a day late I think because of the extra pill. Instead of starting my new pack(which is missing the first pill) on sunday, I started taking them on Monday, giving myself a full 7 days off. Since then I've been on time and not missed or been late on them. I have been intimate with my husband a number of times. However since I've started the new pack, about 4 days into it, I've been cramping quite a bit. Not anything truly painful but enough to notice and be concerned. I've spoken to the pharmacist. He's a good pharmacist I've known for years. He says I should be ok but I continue cramping. Im not bleeding or anything when I cramp and I don't have any other pregnant symptoms. Wouldn't it be too soon for that? What's with the cramping? If anyone has any advice, I'd really appreciate it. I've been on birth control for a long time and it's the first time I've ever messed them up. Thanks! Also microgestin 1/20 isn't part of the recalled birth control. I know there's a recalled birth control but this isn't one of them. Also I'm already on day 18 of the pack and my period is due next week if that helps any.
