I'm a 35 year old who noticed when I'm about to have a bowel movement as I push thick, clear white discharge comes out of my vagina. I have put a mirror between my legs to see where it's coming from, it's my vagina. I can tell the difference from this and my regualr discharge. This has occured every since I was 20 years old,but the size of a dime, now it's increased over the years to maybe a quarter. Sometimes as it comes out it will hang there until I wipe with tissue. I have had several pap smears, plus my yearly annual. Nothing never comes of it,once an md told me it was extra mucous, but I don't believe that. I have had ultra sono grams and a small ovarian cyst was found last June. I was placed on the birth control Nuva Ring to dissolve it,the Nuva Ring caused me alot of complications,so I stopped using it. When I had another sonogram done, the cyst was gone. I still have pain on my left side a week after my cycle as if I'm ovulating. My GYN wants to place me on a bc called Loestrin, but breat cancer runs in my family, plus being 35 I could be at more risk. I'm just so tired of not knowing what causes this. I hope I don't have cancer in some way while my GYN has assured me it's not cancer. My next step is when this happen again only during pushing for a bowel movement I plan to place a small container under my vagina to collect it hoping maybe I can take it to my GYN and let her actually look at it. Does anyone else have this problem?
