I am 18 years old, I started taking generic birth control about 2 weeks ago, I went out of town to see my boyfriend and we have had unprotected sex for a week now; my crisis started with a horrific headache that has lasted about two days now [it is so bad that i can barely go to sleep and when i do sleep i wake up because of it] i dont want to take any headache medicine because i heard it may interact with the borth control and sometimes i feel a little nauseated, but i have only experienced it twice; on the second day i started cramping really bad, and when i went to the bathroom i seen i was having this brown, stringy, discharged. I have read many posts about this relating to pregnancy and other problems, but i'm confused on what really would relate to my problem. Not really sure when my period is supposed to be due to the birth control. I didn't know if the birth control would cause a irregular period or not...If anyone could help me, i would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
