I have these stringy little lumpy things under my skin- mostly string-like that leads to the hood of my clitoris. I have read and read online- can't seem to determine what this is. Veins? Glands? They aren't big, they aren't painful at all, it is under the skin, stringy, with little lumps or texture or whatever. They swell some during arousal. Squeezing used to make this go away, but now it just sort of shrinks a bit, but never goes away. (I have had other stringy lumps that went away upon gentle squeezing in the past and just never thought anything of it.) They used to be soft, but a couple of parts are a little more hard now especially the really stringy part.
Am I supposed to have a stringy thing under the skin in my vulva area- below my clitoris, but before my urethra- leading to the hood of the clitoris? Please tell me this is something common so I can stop having horrible thoughts about this. I feel so embarrassed to ask the doctor, and I am not sure they would even grasp what I am talking about with the way I am describing it. I am however going to the OB/GYN within the next couple of weeks to discuss my spotting issues I have been having recently, but if someone knows what this is I would love to call it something other than "stringy thing" when I talk to the doctor.
What is this? Please give me any info you may have, I would be very thankful.
