Salt rooms and float tanks. Highly recommend. Completely balanced my severe symptoms. Sit in a room full of epsom salt to rebalance and detox your system.

Effexor withdrawals suck! Been on it for 3 years for nerve pain in my legs due to an accident. It may sound crazy, but Dramamine or generic store brand helps with dizziness, brain zaps, nausea & wooziness. Sounds nuts, but nature is best. Slice up an onion, place on bottom of your feet and put on socks, wear overnight. It pulls toxin from your body and will speed up recovery. Yoga helps and try to surround yourself with things you love for a few weeks. Exercise helps release oxytocin which helps with the blahs. I'm sleeping better and not constipated. Working through the rest but those things are helping. The onion thing really works.

I have been on 75 mg Effexor for over 5 years now and over the past week I have been I have tried to take 2 entire bottles with have 30 pills in them each. Yes trying to kill myself. Now I haven't taken anymore for about 5 days because my insurance wont cover another script. Does anyone have any accurate information about coming down from with medication? Or any advice of how to ease the withdrawal?

Miligram235265. It has been a year since you posted your Effexor success story. I will tell you that I have been on Effexor XR for the past 10 years. Did it help with my depression? Yes. Did it help with my anxiety? No. My PCP prescribed a tranquilizer for the Effexor jitters. I became a numb zombie. I tried to get off Effexor a few times, but I experienced brain zaps and super terrific sinus pain. I thought it was allergies, but it turned out to be Effexor withdrawal.
Naturally, I fell back on the drug and continued to be mommy zombie. People that knew me thought I looked very tired and drawn and wasn't my usual "bubbly" self. I'd zone out. I have trouble connecting thoughts to words. My brain freezes. Also, I gained weight. 50 plus or minus. My cholesterol numbers are borderline high. I was told by a cardiologist that this antidepressant did cause weight gain. Short term gain...long term lost.
Well, I am making an attempt to get off Effexor ER. I plan to take on board advice with vitamin supplements, exercise, prayer, Dopamine, and Benadryl. Praying and hoping all works out.
Good luck to you as well.
