hi my names dominique and for the past month and a half everytime my boyfriend and i have sex it's really painful and when i go to the bathroom my pee smells really bad. i thought i might have a yeast infection so i took monistat3 and it seemed to work but a few days later i got the symtoms back. what wrong? could it be something else?? :-(

If you only used monistat3 for a few days and then stopped, then yes a yeast infection would return. but if you were taking it and you still had these symptoms, i would go to your doctor. it could be a sign of an sti or it could be a urinary tract infection. i wouldnt stress too much about it right now, but make an appointment with your doctor just in case.
