Hi there. I was just hoping someone could put my mind at ease a little bit. I've got sharp pain on my right labia minora and a little on the viganial opening but not so much. It isn't swollen or red, it just hurts when pressure is applied. It makes going to the restroom very painful. Sometimes it stings when I actually urinate, but not every time.

I've only had this for a couple days now but from the research i've been doing on the net, it's really started to worry me. It would just be helpful to talk to others about it before I finally decide to go to the doctor, who some have said, have just made it worse for them.

Thankyou & much appreciated!

Hi honey! The big question is have you EVER had unprotected sex? AND have you ever been tested for an STI? If everything is fine in that area I would bet my hat you have a UTI - urinary tract infection! So you need to go to the doctors and get a urine culture done! This will show if you have an infection and also he/she can get you on anitbiotics! Also IF you do - then start taking Probiotic Yogurt and Acdipholus pills! As it is almost a certainty that you WILL get a yeast infection from the darn antibiotics 8-| ! Let me know how you make out OK? Good luck and healht!

As a matter of fact, yes, my boyfriend and I don't use protection, instead we use the pull-out method. We talked about it and came up with the conclusion that it may be an STI. It's just that when I tried to research it on the web nothing with my sort of symtpoms showed, only infections which result in warts and cysts and rashes; none of which I have.

And it's not a urinary tract infection either i'm pretty sure, i've had one before and this is nothing like it. Unless it's just come back extra fiesty. I haven't ever had tests for an STI either, although I really should.

Once this all clears up, i'm deffinately making it a ritual thing to go get checked up.

Thankyou for your reply though!
