Based on my A[picolordotic View Chest Xray - Minimal reticular opacities detected in the lun apices. the rest of the visualized chest structures are unremarkable. Impression: Minimal BILATERAL apical densities suggestive of PTB. Please correlat with the pertinent parameters. Questions: What does it mean? Do I have PTB? What would possibly caused it and immediate treatment? I have 8yr, 6yr and 3yr old kids, is this illness contagious that my children will be at risk as well? Thank you for anyone who can enlighten me. Soooo worried :(

Hi Mam,

The report only "suggests" that you have PTB.  The diagnosis is not clear.  Normally you'd have a sputum analysis, and possibly even a biopsy, to confirm.

Yes it is contagious.  Your children have already been exposed.  They should likely be tested.

You need to discuss this with your doctor - NOW.  They have all your history and test results, we don't.
