Silicone gel breast implants are better, they feel softer, they have less risk of rippling, in my opinion less risk of capsular contracture, and they also lie better when the patient lies down. The saline implant is a balloon filled with water. It doesn’t move very much. The silicone when it’s in is softer and can move with the patient’s breast slightly.
