I had viral encephalitis

In December of 2004 I slipped into a coma for almost 2mths. My neurologists can't explain why I suffer from leg pains. Been to pain management and helped temporarily. Is it possibly this is a longterm affect of viral encephalitis? I take neuratin for the pain. Please advise.
