knot on back of head

I have little knot on the back of my head and It does not irritate me esthetically, because I actually cannot see it. However, sometimes it bothers me, because when dressing I slog upon it. I also bled once. Is it possible to remove this knot?

Hammertoe surgery recovery, do I need to sleep in the shoe at night?
