Outside of foot is killing me... what is it?

The outside and just underneath my right foot hurts really bad. It started after a race this past weekend. It almost feels like it is bruised. The good news is that it doesn't hurt under my arch. Just along the outside. It hurts to walk now. It kind of feels like somebody smacked the side of my foot...

Running when sick question

Answered by a doctor

When you wake up and your throat is sore and your ears hurt and your body feels sore, is that one of those days you aren't supposed to run. Or would running help? I forgot the rule.

Pain on outside of foot

I had this pain start last week. On my right foot, I had a dull ache pain on the outside and right underneath the outside of my foot. It seems to be on the meat/muscle(?) of the foot. I didn't run Wed, Thurs, or Friday. It seemed to be pretty much gone Friday, and I ran a race Saturday, and didn't...

My doctor doesnt allow me to do so and says that it is too early for that. Should I listen to him? Is this happening only to...

Do i have achilles tendonitis?

Answered by a doctor

I finished the half marathon the other day with expected soreness. Now most of it has gone except for my left leg below the knee...and I would describe this as worse than just "soreness", I would say pain, especially when walking. I haven't even attempted to run on it since. From my reading, I...

I thought shin splints were a newbie problem.

I always thought that only newbies got shin splints because their shins weren't used to the pounding but after awhile, their legs got accustomed to it and it wasn't an issue any more. So I posted about shin 'cramps' (treadmill) last week and now today (outside) I had to stop after 2 miles because...

Running when you're sick?

Answered by a doctor

What do you do when you’re sick? I mean, do you train or just wait until you get better? I must say that I can’t wait until I’m completely healed. I just make a pause for a day or two, that is when I feel very bad, and as soon as my temperature drops and I can breathe I’m up...
