itchy palms and soles of feet

sometimes my palms and the soles of my feet get really hot(a burning sensation and really warm to the touch) red and itchy. I feels really good to put them under water but somehow i feel like this isn't good for it. so I just apply some unscented lotion. It's been happening for years....

My boyfriend suffers from chronic urticaria. He has been taking antihistamines to treat this. How serious condition is chronic urticaria? Is he going to have chronic urticaria forever? I like him a lot but this can be very annoying. He itches a lot and sometimes I can’t sleep because of him.
