Hello everyone. I am not sure if this is the right place for my question, but I am hoping that you will be able to help me gain some insight into the treatment of MS. If you have MS and have not had it for very long, can you tell me if you plan to start with corticosteroids as a treatment? Why, or why not?

I am in the beginning stages of MS - I have the regressive recurrent type. I generally use avonex for my treatments, but when I have a bad flare up and an attack, I will take corticosteroids. They are not something that is used just like that, without a reason, corticosteroids are only given to people that have bad inflammation.
