My Son was on 225 mg he said he did not feel right ,he did something wrong now he is in JAil on his way to prison know one cares. HELP HELP

20 y/o male, 16 when I started Effexor from family advice. Pediatric Psychiatrist took me off the drug cold turkey from 75mg. Lost my minds eye, train of thought basically, my vision is destroyed but I’m still 20/20? f**k sunlight too. No answers, psych said “no that doesn’t happen on Effexor” after I told her what happened to me. I was 16 dude. I can’t do sh*t now, effectively, constantly confused in social situations. Yes, also embarrassed the hell out of myself with my newfound paranoid personality. This is unjust. I’m sorry this happened to everyone here and not and I’m glad after 4 years I finally found some progress, can’t imagine how long it’s been for everyone else but never give up, the truth WILL be made known and we will be heard.

It's horrible. U feel horrible on it u feel horrible off it. I got put on venlaflaxine in 8th grade and it really screwed up my sexual development. By senior year the sexual side of it got so bad I stated trying to skip doses in order to maintain an erection for my girlfriend. M I also slowly felt like my brain was slowing down as I used to be way smarter. I am attempting a 6 week taper on venlaflaxine rn and ik it's ambitious but the damage has already been done to my brain and i took medical lesve from college and I can just go through hell for now
