Hello everyone. My name is Ryan And I am 17 years old. My girlfriend is only 15 years old turning 16 very soon. We have been going out for about 4 months and have started having sex on a regular basis. I use a condom everytime we do have sex. But today I got a phone call from my girlfriend saying that she can't stop bleeding and has had a tampon in for about 3 weeks now. I am very scared about the subject but im not going to avoid it. Whatever she has I am going to be there for her and help her along her way. Does anyone know what could cause this? I know she was a virgin when we first had sex but the first time we did have intercourse she did not bleed. After about the fifth time we had sex she started to bleed alot. We have talked it over and shes getting a pregnancy test today just to be safe. I just dont understand how a girl could be pregnant while bleeding constantly. None of the condoms have broke so im confused? is it something I shoudln't be so worried about? Please help me out.

She would actually need to have a gynecologist exam to make sure what's happening. It could be some kind of an infection or inflammation, or a hormonal disorder and nothing can be said without seeing a doc.

if I were you, I wouldnt worry about it. But, for her sake, she might want to see a doctor because bleeding for 3 weeks may be a little abnormal. On the other hand, girls' periods can seriously be extended or shortened depending on their moods or stress level. So, try to keep her relaxed because the more she worries, the longer her bleeding may last.
