There's being a virgin, and 'proof' that you're a virgin. No, you're no longer a virgin if you had penetrative sex with a guy, ie: intercourse. That's the formal definition. As to the 'proof' which is historically that you have an intact hymen, it is somewhat unlikely, if not impossible, to leave the hymen intact despite intercourse.

That, after all, is why historically, and in some fundamental religions still today, it is regarded as being 'important', and proof that a girl or woman is still a virgin.

In fact, the hymen can break long before actual first penetration by a male, firstly, obviously, if you have ever inserted an object into your vagina, presumably and hopefully for sexual experimentation, and for no other reason; and secondly, by vigorous exercise (though I'll have to take women's and medical authority's word on that, for obvious reasons).

The hymen is a symbol of virginity, not proof, and it was (and is) a symbol most important to men for their possession and ownership of women and their offspring, so I would not encourage you to place any more importance on it than curiosity. By far the most important question you and he should be asking now is: was it good for me, and was it good for you (and have we been responsible)?

Women from fundamentalist religions are even going to surgeons now to re-create a hymen, to prove to their husbands-to-be that they are virgins, and you may imagine what I think of that practice. Ask how many men would volunteer to have their eyelids sewn shut to prove they have never looked at another woman.

In the privacy of your own home, on your own, you can take a mirror and explore your body, and determine for yourself whether you believe you have an intact hymen - google hymen, and I'm sure you'll find reference images. No blood, and I would say it is 99.9% certain that you broke it a long time ago, or it may be that just very little blood was produced, and not noticed.

Either way, you are no longer a virgin, and I do hope you will be responsible, respect and admire your own body, and ensure that you are respected by your partner, and then enjoy what you do together.
