It's possible that you've picked up a skin infection, which would account for the swollen problem.
The fact that you don't masturbate to ejaculation might also explain the wet dreams.
In either case, your body is taking care of its excess sperm and semen.
I'd lay off the rubbing for a while to see if the inflamation calms down. And I'd start using a waterbased lube. Try a triple anti-biotic on any blisters or irritations.
