Hi, in june I had my first ever kenalog injection in my knee. I told the doctor I had a hard time tolerating steroids. He laughed at me told me not to worry and before i could object further it was a done deal. Told me nothing about the cortisone flare. Omg that was not fun. Will never do that again. I am allergic to all nasids.. everything that has ever been tried. Besides the horrible flare my knee immediately felt weaker. My sed rate is at a all time high. The swelling in my knee so bad I can hardly walk. My New orthopedic doctor and rheumatoid doctor both told me I was allergic and should have never ever had the shot. Was also told this can stay in my system for up to 3 months ?? My whole body feels like it has been hit by a truck. Can hardly go out in the sun. Has anyone ever had this or other experiences w kenalog. I am furious. I want my life back. How long till this works it way out. I have always been extremely sensitive to medications. But I told this doctor and next thing I knew he had my leg and in the knee it went. I was still objecting and he still shot me up.
