Hi.

I am currently on day 8 of duloxetine withdrawal and having some questions about side effects. First of all, I feel constant dizziness throughout whole day. It's even worse in morning. It is very annoying and limiting for me. I also experience sleep problems.

Are these symptoms usual pattern for duloxetine withdrawal? If so, what can I do to ease them? If not, what am I doing wrong?

At least, depression issues are gone and I'm finally having full control over my life except for this inconvenience. I really hope that these symptoms are only transitory and will pass within week or two. Please, can it be true?

Hello, Marina.

I will suppose that you consulted with your psychiatrist first and started to slowly reduce your dosage.

Dizziness and sleep problems are common withdrawal side-effects. But, if you follow instructions it should be gone in week or two. You just wait five – six days and see what will happen.

Only, it is really odd if you experience severe dizziness. I would recommend another session with your psychiatrist next week, if that problem persists. You must tell him/her about that. Remember to point out any anomaly you experienced during withdrawal process.

Hope this helps in any way.

Cheers!
