Hi, I'm a 16 year old VIRGIN, never had a boyfriend and never taken part in anything sexual I've had my period for 5 years now. I have never had pains and they have always been quite long, around 5-9 days, and although it has never been regular, i used to get it once a month for the first 3 years. However, for the last 2 years i would sometimes have my period twice in the same month. Recently (a few months ago) for the first time i've had my period 3 times in a month - they would stay for a week, then go for a few days then come back heavy. This has never happened to me before. Also, I've started spotting - blood and brown discharge for 7+ days straight, which again has never happened to me before. I've been to the doctor and had many blood tests - i don't have thyroid, but i may need an ultasound. I don't know whats going on and im kinda scared. I've sort of accepted the fact that i may not be able to have children (touch wood), but what could be wrong with me? I am underweight for my age - 45kg, and doing my A Levels which has caused me stress, but i dont think thats the reason for why my periods are like this..
