I just turned 43 this month, have 2 teenagers, and am not on any birth control. Have had no pregnancies since the birth of my last child 14 yrs ago.

My periods have been quite normal all my life, with some starting early.

Around June 3, I noticed my breasts were very sore, almost too sore. Then a couple of days later, I started spotting, and when I looked at my period calender, sure enough it was time for my period, so I dismissed the sore breasts.

On Sunday June 9th, I stopped my period but my breasts were still very sore all that next week.

On Friday, June 14, my breasts finally felt like they were getting back to normal, but that night, I had a light red spotting. It was kind of scary because this has never happened to me before. I mean, I stopped my period only 5 days prior.It wasn't constant spotting and I didn't even need to wear a liner. I spotted again the next day on Saturday and then that was it.

Now here it is 11 days later and I noticed I felt a little crampy and sure enough, it looks like I'm starting my period again. I looked at my period calender and it says I'm due to start in 5 days.

If it wasn't for that spotting after my last period, I wouldn't even think twice about this period starting 5 days early.

 

I'm a little worried as I've never spotted between periods. Has anyone had this happen to them?
