Major cramps and strange bleeding after stopping the Pill

My doctor prescribed me BP (orthotrycyclin lo) for 6 months to regulate my period. I'm ttc. She took me off early (after 3 months) due to liver enzyme test being high. I'm a diabetic so I get tested regulary. My doctor said if I don't have a regular period that she will put my back on medroxyprogesterone. (Which I was on to regulate my period prior to taking the BCs but was unsuccessful) I stop taking the BC on the 18th day 5 days later (April 15th) I got my first period which was early I normally get it on the 23rd of each month and lasts abouy 3 days. I have normal back pain but this pain was worst backpain I ever had. The pain is better today. Anyways, the first two days my bleeding was normal. Then I stoppped bleeding for more than 15 hours and out of no where I started bleeding very heavily. Still bleeding heavily now. Its not a lot where I fill up a whole pad in an hour so I'm not concerned too much. I read its just my uterine lining shedding all excess lining it kept from when I was on the BC. I believe it because I notice big heavy clots when using the bathroom. I also notice I get tired easily and sleep longer. Is this normal? I'm going to call my doctor to see if it is but I'm going to wait until the day 7. If anyone is having the same issues I will let you know what my doctor says. I would still recommend going to the doctor though regardless because it could be worst than what you think. It could be an etopic preganancy or a ruptured cyst if you are having servere pain. If its an insurance problem then go to planned parenthood I'm sure they will check you for free but call them first to make sure I really don't know because its been so long since I've been there. FYI- On top of having diabetes. I have PCOS and one scarred fallopian tube. I hope I get pregnant by the end of this year with my healthy baby. I'm not giving up and I will not let this ruin my relationship with my husband. He is so supported through all of this and is so far fine with the fact that it is taking so long. Hi I am 16, i was on the pill for 2 months and my period always came on the day it was supposed too, I didn't take the pills at the same time everyday because I would forget. I stopped taking them for like 3 days and I spotted had brownish discharge for one day and then the next I spotted , that only lasted 3 days so I started taking them again and I kept forgetting so I stopped taking them all together because I wanted to get the shot instead.. me and my boyfriend have unprotected sex everyday but he has never came in me.. so when I stopped the pill I spotter for 4 days , once a day and now I am 15 days late on my period , I don't know if I am pregnant or if me stop taking the pill threw ny period off ? Can u help please

I stopped my pill mid way through a pack, I took 11 pills missed 4, took 1 and missed 5 because my husband is working away and I forgot, (we would love a baby so its more excitement than dread!) .  I slept with my husband (after missing 3 pills) but i still havnt had a bleed, do you reckon i could be pregnant, i did take a test this morning but it was negative? 

i tried the pill in order to regulate cyst. i am 33 years old and this was my very first time taking the pill. i never trusted being on it it but i gived it a try anyways. i tried it for 7 days and i felt so horrible, my entire body felt blowded, felt so much fatter, i had chest pain and heart beat fast. my mouth was always dry. so i said that is it i never was on it before i will handle the cyst pain like i have always. so i did not know i couldn't just stop the pill doctor never explained it to me.  so i messed myself up because i took the pill on the first day of my cycle. than i had spotting and now it is like i am on my period again but it is like not heavy but not light either. ifeel so drained because i been bleeding for a few weeks now. i just want for it to stop. and by doing research online it is not sure of when the bleeding might stop. when i think its going away because it gets real light some points during the day its when it gets not heavy but more of a vivid red. i wish the doctor would have explained it better knowing i had never been on it before.

 

Did you ever figure out what was the cause? Were you pregnant? This same thing has happen to me. Except I was on birth control for 8 months. I had irregular periods. I had my last period September 9-12th. I stopped taking my pill September 23rd. I had a period for two days 25th&26th. I had unprotected sex October 5th and be ejaculated in me. It's now October 21st and I haven't had a period. Should I be worried? Am I pregnant ? Or is it just getting off the pill effects. When should I start to worry?

This is the exact thing thats happing to me right now. Im kinda concerned, i stopped taking the pill then had a 3 day period then 2 days of nothing and now im going on day 8 of a new period. I think it just needs time to re-adjust. I took bc continuously for the last 12-13 months without a period... Which might not have been the smartest idea...

I'm bleeding only a tiny bit of brown blood, and cramping and I'm still taking the pill, not due to have a period until a week a bits time. I missed two pills six days ago and had unprotected sex over those days could I be pregnant? I do have pcos so I feel thats pretty rare ?

I have stopped taking the pill after 4 years and i have really bad stomach cramps and i have been on my period for 2 weeks and its bright red ... If i have stopped can i go back on the pill in a month?

I had my period . Started a new pack, stopped taking them on day 6. I haven't really had cramps or anything since . Today would be day 18 of my pills : I used the bathroom and noticed there was blood coming out and a bit of clotting like what I usually have on my period! I've been on the pill for 11 years , I'm not sure what to expect when I'm not on the pill it's been so long. Between day 6 and 18 my husband and I have been intimate and there were two times where he did not pull out. I hope someone had had a similar experience !

Hi! I'd just like to ask an update about your period? I did the same thing. I stopped after two days of taking birth control because of my gallstones problem. Then I had sex (protected though) after 3 days, and on the 5th day after I stopped, I started to have heavy flow with very uncomfortable menstrual cramps. I don't know what to do I've been bleeding for two days now. Thank you!

Hi I have been on the pill 2 weeks nearly and I have come on very heavy. I am not sure how long I am going to be on for but i hope it's not long because I am bloated. I haven't taken the pill for 2 days now and I was wondering how long I am going to bleed for and if I can conceive because as we had unprotected intercourse before I came on.
