Over the past year i have had my period 3 times, the last one being 7 mths ago. I noticed my cycle changed after i stopped taking birth control. I am not pregnant. Ive also had excessive vaginal discharge and think maybe the two are somehow related. Everytime i have seen my doctor the tests come back normal, i wish i could get a 2nd opinion but its extremly hard to find a doctor accepting new patients.

How long ago did you stop the birth control? It seems like your periods should have gone back to normal by now - the birth control pill does stop the ovulation and can potentially completely stop your periods, but these effects should have been gone by now, even though it does depend on the type of the birth control for how long will the effects still be there after you stop taking it. On what kind of birth control were you?

i stopped taking birth control exactly a year ago, i was on marvelon but it switched to a diffrent name the last few mths i was on it and i do not recall the name. i had been taking it for 10 yrs.
