:'( well sad to say I had to have a medical abortion do to a medical condition done on August 18th it is now October 1st and I still have not got my period... I know the say it can take up to 6wks b4 u get a normal period but tomorrow will be the 6th wk and nothing yet should I worry, and yes i did have unprotected sex one day my husband and I had a lil too mucch to drink %-) its not reall a bad thing being that I would have this bb but I am concerned any info will be helpful thanks :-)

I had an abortion few years ago and I didn't get a Period for 2 mths after. An abortion throws your body out of whack severely. Try and be careful. I am pro choice but an abortion can do very harmful things to a womans body. I have endometriosis bc of it. You are probably fine though. Don't stress, bc that will delay it longer. Stay calm and it will come.

Up until I had an abortion, 6 years ago, my period was more timely than the world clock. I would get it regularly almost exactly on the same date every month. After the abortion was completed, it took months, literally about six months before I started getting my period so I wouldn't be too concerned. Your body is your own and clearly different from anyone elses, mine included, so I can only tell you what worked for me. When you have an abortion the hormones in your body are more or less thrown into shock and it takes some time for your body to sort out what course of action it should be taking. Birth control helped me physically by regulating my hormone levels and therefore my period but I have to admit that emotionally I didn't like how they were making me react. Some people are emotionally unaffected by birth control, how I wish I was one of them, and while it didn't work for me it could for you. For me personally, I chose to stop the birth control, and my period remains extremely irregular but at least I have my sanity. As long as your safe going forward, even if your period is irregular, you shouldn't have any problems.

hi all i had an abortion 4 months ago and i still dont have a period every month i get very bloted and still no period im on the pill and its not helping i have rang the clinc and they keep telling me it will come bak im sick of waiting to get it my periods i want to go bak to my normal self and i carnt until i know im ok
