For a long time now, I am taking acetaminophen for my rheumatoid arthritis. Strongest pain I have felt is in the knee and hip area. The pain was so severe I could not walk normally. Acetaminophen I take, its dosages are very big, so I am interested about side effects of this drug. Is there a possibility of acetaminophen overdose?

Possibility of overdose exists, but it is significantly reduced when you use it under surveillance of doctor. Symptoms of overdose: stomach pain, weakness, nausea, vomiting, excessive sweating, dark urine. If these symptoms occur, you have to talk to your doctor again. Perhaps the dosage might be changed, or he just might change the entire therapy.
