I had a colposcopy today with biopsies and a scraping of the cervical neck. I was warned of the coffee grind and/or bloody discharge, and thanks to this forum I now know not to be alarmed when I start passing what looks like grey tissue... yay. My concern now is the fact that my vagina sort of looks like minced meat, and my cervix (I believe) is sticking a little ways out of my vaginal opening. I’m 30 years old with no kids so I don’t think it’s uterine prolapse. I’m very aware of what my body usually looks like, and at no point in nursing school did they tell me that the cervix can swell with trauma. Never saw it as a practicing RN either. So any ideas? This whole thing is overwhelming and I keep telling myself not to freak out so any similar experiences or advice is welcomed.

I had a colposcopy done last week and today I noticed a dark grey flesh hard bump in my vagina. Is this normal side effect of colposcopy because I'm freaking out?
