Since the pain was gone, I decided to examine myself and hoped that since the pain was gone, the thing blocking my vagina opening was too. To my dismay, it was still there. It isn't anything like a pimple or anything. It's as if it is hanging and sort of the same texture as the inside of me. Similar to cartilege, but definitely softer. I can't put anything bigger than a finger inside and when I put my finger inside, it's as if I have to move the "pink ball" up. Inside, it feels like it is attached to something. It doesn't hurt at all anymore, it's just a little weird and I'm worried that it is something serious and I will have difficulty having sex in the future.
I have googled this and can't find anyone with a similar situation as me and a lot of people are saying it's my clitoris and it's obviously not... People are saying its my hymen, but I've had sex before and my cherry popped so I don't know if this would be the reason for this!
Also, I am 100% sure that this is not an STD. I got tested negative for everything a few days before I had sex. If anyone can tell me what this is, it would be greatly appreciated. Of course I rescheduled my planned parenthood appointment to get tested for a UTI/yeast infection but I just want to know if this pink ball is something that I should mention. Is this normal? Will this go away on its own? Will I need surgery? Can antibiotics fix this? Is this a symptom of something else?

I know this post is older, but I was wondering if you ever found out what was going on. Thanks!

did you ever find what this was as i have the same thing, i went to the doctors about it and the doctor said it was nothing to be worried about and that it was vaginal tissue, however, i know it hasnt been there long and makes it difficult for me to use tampons and stuff, but this is the exact same thing i have so if you know what it is can you please tell me

I freaked out when I had the exact same problem- I thought I had cancer or something crazy, but it turns out it was just my hymen. Sometimes (even if your cherry's popped) it can get in the way, but if the problem doesn't get better I'd still go see a doctor or gyno.
